  • CNC Mill/Lathe Programmer / Machinist

    Responsibilities

    • Program, setup, operate and troubleshoot a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and components based on setup sheets, blueprints, drawings, sketches, CAD or other work instructions
    • Create and/or maintain process documentation
    • Improve process performance or maintain product conformance by adjusting process parameters
    • Create, modify and/or improve tooling and gaging
    • Use basic shop math to assist in job functions
    • Work with a broad range of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel alloys, copper)
    • Perform product inspection using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, surface plates, thread gages, gage pins and optical comparators and document inspection results
    • Maintain traceability of product throughout all manufacturing operations
    • Collaborate with inspection, programming, engineering and project management to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges
    • Design and manufacture appropriate fixtures
    • Perform basic machine maintenance based on written or verbal instructions, including completing maintenance logs
    • Maintain work area in safe and orderly fashion
    • Practice safe working habits to prevent injuries and equipment and property damage
    • Participate in process and safety improvement
    • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail
    • Other duties as assigned

    Ideal Requirements

    • 5 years of related manufacturing experience
    • Associate’s degree or completed an apprenticeship in a relevant field
    • Excellent problem solving, organizational, communication and teamwork skills
    • Excellent mechanical aptitude
    • Track record of safety and dependability
    • Experience in MasterCam or PowerMill an asset
    • Experience machining castings, forgings or 3D printed hardware an asset
    • Above basic use of Excel/Word/Outlook
    • Exposure to working within a quality management system (ex. ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485)

  • Project Coordinator

    Responsibilities

    • Review incoming orders
    • Schedule and document meetings
    • Store documentation (purchase orders, drawings, CAD, etc.) in appropriate locations
    • Write travelers
    • Maintain schedules of multiple projects (including outsourced processes)
    • Track resource and equipment utilization and inventory levels
    • Assist with resource allocation and reallocation to meet deadlines and budgets
    • Develop purchase order specifications
    • Perform receiving inspection
    • Create reports
    • Facilitate communication between project participants (internal and external)
    • Prepare product conformance documentation and approve product for release
    • Review project performance
    • Regularly communicate with customers and suppliers
    • Other related and cross-functional duties as required

  • Quality Control Inspector

    Responsibilities

    • Perform in-process, first article, production and final acceptance inspections
    • Perform visual inspections based on internal and customer specifications
    • Perform dimensional inspections using inspection tools like calipers, micrometers and thread gages
    • Perform dimensional inspections using coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
    • Write CMM inspection programs
    • Create inspection plans based on specifications, technical documentation and other written or verbal instructions
    • Maintain appropriate documentation of inspections performed (inspection reports, AS9102 forms, nonconformance reports)
    • Issue rework to manufacturing and verify rework operations
    • Collaborate with various manufacturing personnel to identify, resolve and prevent product nonconformance and other quality issues
    • Prepare/compile/review customer quality documentation
    • Verify incoming material and products to specifications (receiving inspection)
    • Disposition nonconforming product and material and destruction of scrap
    • Work with quality manager or directly with customers to resolve specification conflicts or complaints
    • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools
    • Work in compliance with and support the quality management system
    • Other duties as necessary

    Requirements

    • 2 years quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Direct manufacturing experience an asset
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Excellent problem solving ability
    • Ability to read, interpret and understand technical documentation like engineering drawings, purchase orders and quality clauses
    • Good general mechanical aptitude
    • Intermediate proficiency with Excel/Word/Outlook
    • Highly proficient with inspection tools
    • CAD experience an asset
    • Good math skills
    • High school diploma

All positions are located in a manufacturing facility where heavy machinery is present and elevated levels of noise, heat, humidity, etc., may occur. To successfully perform the job, occasional or prolonged periods of sitting, standing, crawling, kneeling, walking, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling or lifting may be required.

Many positions require constant free mobility of hands, wrists and arms and the associated physical dexterity to perform necessary functions such as typing, writing, setting up equipment and inspecting parts. All positions may require working off shifts, non-standard work weeks, extended hours/and or overtime to meet project deliverables.
